Dunearn NC Clean And Green Easter Party

On 14/4/12, dunearn nc residents had a clean and green easter party wherein our residents donated their old spectacles, sunglasses, handphones and can-drink tabs for recycling purposes . NEA and SJI were also present to spread the re-use , reduce and recycling message. The kids also had lots of fun at the easter egg hunt and giant egg decoration competition. A big thank-you to Adviser MP Mr Lui Tuck Yew for being our guest-of-honour at the event.

Goldhill NC Family Outing - Titanic Exhibition

On Sunday, 15th April 2012 Goldhill NC together with Moulmein FLC organised a Family Outing for 38 residents and their families to visit 'Titanic The Artifact Exhibition' held at the ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay Sands.

Moulmein Community Outreach Program

On 10/3/12, Moulmein GRLs and community outreach project new volunteers attended a tour of Changi Prison with an overview of the Singapore Prison Service.

This community outreach project is part of the wider Yellow Ribbon Project that helps rehabilitate inmates back into the community. However the main objective of this project is to reach out, not to the inmates but to families of inmates who are in particular need, and to provide community assistance and support to them while inmates are serving their prison sentence.

"Joy of Giving cum Project SWITCH" event at Chung Hua Tong Seniors Activity Centre

Tanglin CC WEC, together with NEA organised a 'Joy of Giving' cum energy-saving lightbulbs replacement exercise for residents of Blocks 47 Owen Road. Guest of Honour for the event was our Adviser Mr Lui Tuck Yew who joined students from SJI to replace the lightbulbs and bags of provisions to the residents.

Tamil New Year Celebration & Singing Competition at Tanglin CC

Tanglin CC once again played host to the Tamil Community during the Tamil New Year Celebration held on Saturday 21st April 2012. Jointly organised by Tanglin CCMC,Tanglin IAEC, Farrer Park RC and Makkal Kavingar Mandram, the event attracted 600 over participants. A Tamil Singing was held for some 200 Primary One to Primary 6 students from the neighbourhood schools. The students also took part in a 'cross-cultural' event - an Easter Celebration organised by Tanglin SCEC.
